Field Notes Farm
Seasonal fresh produce, direct from the farm.
In 2018, Farmers Oren Jakobson & Polly Dalton and the Field Notes Farm will become a part of Rising Sand Organics Cooperative Farm. The CSA program will remain almost identical to previous season (although with new offerings such as Market Choice and Micro shares). Rising Sand Organics Cooperative will continue to manage the current land of Field Notes Farm and will expand production to additional acreage on County Road I in Custer (just 1.6 miles from the current Field Notes Farm). For now, we are maintaining our current CSA sign up infrastructure. We will continue to communicate with our farm community as the transition takes place. Feel free to email/call us with any questions - polly@fieldnotesfarm.com OR oren@fieldnotesfarm.com.
Happy Spring! - Polly Dalton, 3/20/2018
Field Notes Farm is a Certified Organic Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) farm offering a diverse selection of seasonal vegetables and herbs grown on our farm in Custer, WI. Our members receive a box of our seasonal produce weekly or every-other-week for 18 or 22 weeks, from mid-June to mid-November.
The CSA model is an excellent way to source fresh, delicious produce, support our responsible farming practices, and learn more about how your food is grown. We currently deliver CSA shares to Appleton, Amherst, Stevens Point, Plover, and Neenah Wi. If you are interested in joining our CSA program, please carefully read our CSA Information Sheet before you sign up.
We are certified organic through NICS. We use 100% certified organic & non-GMO seeds and inputs, and use no chemical fertilizers, no herbicides, and no pesticides (not even those permitted by USDA organic standards).
You can also find our produce (in season) at the Green Gecko Grocer & Deli in Appleton, the Village Hive: Bakery & Local Foods Collective in Amherst, the Stevens Point Area Co-op, and at the Downtown Appleton Farmers' Market.
